I love Carl to pieces and I'm still really sad that they killed him off and there's no chance he can ever come back. He and Jack just seemed to have such a strong, natural friendship (or relationship, depending on whether I'm wearing my slash goggles ;) ).
Heh, I have a weakness for woozy!Jack and unconscious!Jack, and tired!Jack and otherwise-not-firing-on-all-cylinders!Jack. :D
And oh man, yeah, that's difficult. I started watching the show at the beginning of S2 so I knew what happened in S1 even down to the description of Teri's death, but I'd never seen it. I think it was just before/during S4 that I finally got the DVDs from the library and watched S1, and knowing what was going to happen was't much help. It just made me even more nervous about the ending (and made me yell at the TV louder).
